A lifelong learner with a heart for helping people feel better.
Dr. Eric B. Morris was born on July 6, 1965, in Danville, Illinois. He grew up in a large family as the fifth child of Fred, a union electrician, and Ellen, a homemaker who later became a social service administrator.
His childhood was rooted in rural life and filled with baseball, bike riding, farm work, and the natural ups and downs of growing up with many siblings. He was also known for being highly studious and consistently brought home strong report cards.
Dr. Morris graduated as valedictorian from Bismarck-Henning High School in 1983, showing early on the discipline and work ethic that would continue throughout his career.
A path that led him to the right profession.
Dr. Morris began college in electrical engineering at General Motors Institute in Flint, Michigan, now known as Kettering University. He later transferred to the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana.
Even though he performed well in engineering, he realized his true interests were in the life sciences and in helping people directly. After carefully exploring several healthcare fields, he chose chiropractic because of its drug-free, surgery-free, and biomechanical approach to the body.
He went on to attend Logan College of Chiropractic in Chesterfield, Missouri, where he excelled academically and clinically. In August 1993, he graduated with honors and earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. That same year, he passed all state and national board examinations and became licensed to practice in Indiana.
Experienced care backed by decades of continued learning.
Dr. Morris considered many places to practice, including Sydney, Australia, but chose Indianapolis because it offered the benefits of a large city while still keeping a small-town feel. It also kept him within a couple of hours of his parents' home in Illinois.
He began practicing in Indianapolis in 1993, following the unfortunate early passing of his predecessor, Dr. Bruce Chalker. In the fall of 2006, he expanded into his current location. Since then, Dr. Morris has helped a wide variety of patients dealing with many musculoskeletal and nervous system conditions.
He remains deeply committed to learning and consistently attends continuing education seminars, far beyond the minimum yearly requirements, so he can continue providing informed and effective care.
Outside the office, family is a huge part of Dr. Morris' life. He has two adult daughters he dearly loves. Krissy is a ceramic artist with a studio at the Stutz building in Indianapolis. Kory and her husband Rick have three children who lovingly call him “PooPaw.” His grandchildren are one of the greatest joys in his life, and his extended family continues to grow.
